Is anyone doing Abeka? I am doing it but just for English. My teachers name is Mrs. Schmuck. Isn't that weird? But she's nice.

I use to use it. I didn't like the math, but I loved the English.

Which grade are you in? 'Cause she's for 8th and 9th. Her name isn't weird...and she's really nice.

"Who's on first?"

"Uh-huh."

A little joke in school. Smile

All I know is that I'm taking 7th grade English by Mrs. Schmuck. This is the 1st Abeka class I've ever taken, so I don't know much about all the teachers and stuff.

That's not right....something's amiss. What are the names of some of the students?

Um, Blake, Daniel, Sarah, Chris.....there's a bunch. One that's kinda uncommon is Dennis. Ring any bells?

Oh, ok. My bro did it like 5 years ago, and he used a CD. But that is my only previous experience with A beka. I'm probably not doing it next year. I might though, just for English again.

Well, ultimately my mom decides. But money wise, A beka isn't the best choice compared to some other things, no offense of course. Wink

Ya, I guess. I don't really LOVE it because I think it kinda takes away the traditional home school feel, 'cause you have to do homework and stuff.

Well, that's good. So you mean you wanna watch videos and not do homework? That sounds illogical. And I like it. Its like real school.

No, I mean I wanna read the lesson and then do a worksheet, or a set of problems, in stead of watching a movie and doing problems in class, then turning of the movie and doing more problems. It's fine though. Smile

I did Abeka math in 6th grade, I think, and really liked how they had it set up and everything.
