Revolt of the Gileadites
First topic message reminder :
((I'll begin))
It was an ordinary day in the Kingdom of Bryan. Then again, it was an ordinary day in the secret fort the Gileadites were in. Marvin was sitting in front of a table, eating.
((Note: throughout the RPG you will have missions to do))

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
OOC: Bump.
IC:
Marvin was worried; what if there were more of those people after them? They had to get moving. And what about Ariona? Where was she rigt now? Was she OK or in danger? The thought made him shudder.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Ariona glanced at her watch. It had been about half an hour.
I'll be there soon, she thought. Wherever "there" is... Well, where Xanatos and Victoria are. Oh, not Victoria..."
She stumbled and tripped, falling face down into the dirt with a muffled cry. She pushed herself up and felt the sore spot on her face. Yup, there was blood on her hand. Was that from her face or her hand? Regardless, that was one harsh root. Taking a red cloth from her cargo pocket, she wiped first her hands, then her face. She winced, as it stung, but quickly ignored it. She had to get to the group.
She picked herself up, brushed herself off the best she could, and began running again, faster than before to ignore the pain on her face and palms.
A few short moments later she rounded the corner and found the group waiting for her, impatiently it seemed.
"Hey guys, sorry I'm late!" she said cheerfully, in between breaths.

Xanatos shook his head, sorry to see such fine soldiers waste their lives like this, in service to a tyrant. But when Ariona bolted around the bend he picked up his pack and slung it over his shoulder. "You're never late Ariona, you just miss all the fun." He said half teasingly. "The village is just over that hill, we should get there before the sun sets, any objections?"

Marvin looked closely at Ariona; something was a little off on her face. She'd fallen? Better not ask, he decided. Instead, he said, "No objections, let get moving."

"Right" Lucario said with a smile. "Back on the road"...

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
"Of course I do. I seem to be doing that alot lately, huh Xan?" she asked, then quickly bit her lip. "Sorry, I didn't mean to-"
She broke off, seeing Xanatos' faintly amused look.
"What?!" she exclaimed, then winced, putting her hand to her face. Her smile seemed to have opened the cut again. "Hey, do any of you guys have a mirror?" she asked, turning her glance to Gorin, Lucario, and Marvin. "Oh, and where's Victoria?" she asked, looking back to Xanatos.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Xanatos looked around briefly and found a mound of fine dirt or what looked to be a kind of sand. He pressed his hand into the dirt and moved his hand a little to the right and left, then picked up the fused sand, now shaped into a crude mirror. "Xan works with me." He said softly to Ariona as he handed her the mirror, so softly so that only she could hear him.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Ariona smiled softly, her eyes reflecting a gentle warmth.
"Thanks," she said quietly, taking the mirror. The cut didn't seem too bad, only about an inch long, and along her jaw. She carefully took her backpack from the wagon, where Xanatos had set it, making sure not to wake Victoria.
She simply put peroxide on her face, but by the time she was done cleaning her hands, it didn't seem like the bleeding on her face had receeded much. She took a small tube of super-glue from her bag and, with the aide of Xanatos' mirror, put a small dab of it along the cut, holding it shut until it held.
"What???" she said to the others, who were giving her an odd look. "It's what is was originally made for, you know."
Wrapping her palms in a simple cotton cloth, she replaced everything, including the backpack (which now included a roughly made mirror).
"Shall we go? I didn't mean to hold you up so much, sorry guys."

"That's ok..." Lucario said quietly. He shifted his feet, eager to go.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Gorin was thinking about his brother and his friends at the mountains, wondering if they were okay. Then he heard a shout that turned him around, it was Farid his brother flying at fast speed. What in the world are you doing here Farid, i told you that it was to dangerous for you! I come with good news. Farid said after he landed.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Marvin gave the newcomer---Farid---a look. What good news could a stranger bring? Not that he trusted him.
Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
What is the good news Farid? Gorin asked with a smile. Amron has taken the throne in Ombria and has overthrown Verk and firefox! your joking. No i am not, we finally had enough solders. There will be peace at last in Ombria. Gorin said like a little boy dreaming.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Xanatos gave a confused and uncomfortable smile. All this talk of sudden villains and sudden monarchy irked him. "Can we get a move on please? And kid, I suggest you either leave or take Gorin with you. We have to get somewhere in the next two days or I'll have to explain how two clingy kids slowed us down." True he was cross, but all the strangers was beginning to really make him uncomfortable.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Ariona eyed the newcomer with slight suspicion, but said nothing. She did, however, give Xanatos a slightly suprised look. He wasn't usually this gruff without reason first.
Yet she remained silent, simply setting her hand lightly on Xanatos' shoulder.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Xanatos visibly softened at Ariona's touch but sighed anyways. "If you and your friend are going to come with us, then please hurry. But don't get anywhere near the wagon, or Firefox will be the least of your worries." Xanatos began to walk off, leading the horses that held their precious cargo: little Victoria. He had grown to love the child, even if he hadn't spent as much time around her, and he now felt himself thinking something that surprised him. He almost didn't want to leave Victoria behind.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Marvin for some strange reasons had received some of Xanatos' thoughts. They were sketchy, but enough to tell him he was thinking about Victoria. Marvin wondered why Xanatos was thinking so loudly. He sneaked a peek at him, and then at Victoria. He didn't want to leave her behind; he liked her. But if they had to do it, they might as well.
Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
OOC: When Xanatos lowers his guard his thoughts can be read easily enough, but when he's thinking about those he cares about, he's as open as a book. I suppose it was sketchy because he was undecided in his decision, make sense?

"We're going to a place where we can make decisions and begin our journey." Said Xanatos with a somewhat bored tone.

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Ariona smiled.
"A land of promise and things unseen? Where new things have the oppurtunity to begin and flourish?"
She laughed, and shook her head.
"Don't mind me."

Re: Revolt of the Gileadites
Under Marvin's breath, he said, "A land flowing with milk and honey...", then jerked back to attention, wondering if anybody had heard him. Muttering something under his breath, he gave a fake smile.

Well I'm leaving Gorin, bye and think about coming home. And with that Farid was off in a flash.
